FRESHNESS TIPS FOR YOUR FLOWERS

At BOTANIQUE STUDIO, we care about keeping our bouquets fresh and beautiful. Our team works hard to ensure that your flowers last longer, so you can enjoy their beauty every day!
  • Make a diagonal cut at the stems at an angle of about 45 degrees, cutting 2-3 cm with a sharp knife or pruning shears. Refresh the diagonal cuts every time you change the water to increase the surface area for the plant to absorb water. Wash the vase with antibacterial detergent each time you change the water.
  • Fill the vase with clean, cool water so that one-third of the stems are submerged. If leaves get into the water, they should be removed, as they contribute to the water rotting and the flowers wilting. Use a special feed for cut flowers. Do not add sugar or other substances to the water, as this promotes bacterial growth and spoils the flowers.
  • Choose the best spot to place the vase or arrangement. The ideal location is cool, with a flow of fresh air, away from direct sunlight, drafts, heaters, and fruits and vegetables.
  • Keep an eye on the water level in the vase, as many flowers, such as tulips and peonies, consume large amounts.

Add water to the center of the flower arrangement every 1-2 days as the floral foam dries out.
  • If there are flowers in the bouquet on floral extensions, you need to add water to the vase as the flower drinks it up. Decorative elements on wooden extensions and short branches of greenery in the bouquet do not require special care or water supply.
  • Do not leave the bouquet without water for more than 15 minutes.
Avoid leaving bouquets and arrangements in a car with a non-working engine for long periods, especially in hot or cold weather.
Do not carry bouquets and arrangements outdoors without insulation when the temperature is below +2 degrees.
If the bouquet has wilted partially or completely too quickly, please check how closely you followed our care recommendations.
